Don’t Miss Your Blessing

Per my seemingly daily routine, I went to Trader Joe’s because I needed all of one thing. If you know anything about the parking situation in Los Angeles, you know it can be extremely limited; especially at Trader Joe’s. However, when your faith is on point, you don’t have to worry about where you’re going to park (Right In Front.)

I drove to the first row of parking and was met face to face with another car waiting for Mr. X (for the purpose of this post), to pull out of his spot. I’m pretty confident he was there first, so I would not have dared steal his spot. I however could see the anxiousness in this driver as he impatiently waited for Mr. X to back out of the parking spot. The impatient driver slowly inched his way up toward Mr. X’s car until his lack of patience got the best of him, and he continued looking for parking elsewhere. The second he passed Mr. X’s car, Mr. X began pulling out. The other driver attempted to back up, but it was too late at this point. Mr. X drove off, and I pulled into the spot.

How often do we get so impatient waiting for our blessing, that we move on the next thing before it arrives?

When we decide we aren’t going to wait patiently and accomplish a task, God has someone else lined up who will.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.” You can’t be still and know you’re blessing is here while you’re moving and in search of a backup parking spot. Don’t miss out on your blessing because you aren’t patient enough to wait for it.

Happy New Year – may your patience grow to new levels!
